Order & Auto-Ship
After enrolling your horse, purchase Platinum Colic Coverage® qualifying formulas from Platinum Performance in buckets, drums or Platinum PAKS® and place on an automatic shipment cycle with auto-ship. Your order will ship upon acceptance into Platinum Colic Coverage® and coverage will begin 56 days after your first shipment.

Maintain
To maintain your coverage, be sure to feed your supplements daily and participate in an Annual Veterinary Directed Wellness Program that includes a wellness exam, dental exam, vaccination, fecal egg count test and deworming.
Eligibility Requirements
Horses may not be eligible if they have:
- Undergone ANY previous abdominal surgery
- Had a history of chronic colic (3 episodes in any 12 month period)
- Had a veterinary-attended (telemedicine included) episode of colic in the previous 12 months (regardless of whether the veterinarian treated the horse or not)
What are the Nutritional Requirements?
Platinum Colic Coverage® allows you to individualize the nutritional support that is right for your horse by feeding one of Platinum’s 4 wellness formulas and receiving up to $15,000 for colic surgery reimbursement should the unthinkable happen. Platinum Colic Coverage® qualifying formulas can come in Platinum PAKs®, drums or buckets and must be placed on an auto-ship cycle. To maintain your coverage, it’s important that you feed your supplements daily. Your horse will remain eligible for Platinum Colic Coverage® as long as you don't delay your shipments more than 14 days per shipment and a total of more than 28 days in a 12-month period.
What Are the Wellness Requirements?
In addition to an Annual Wellness Exam and recommended follow up care, complete the following dental care, vaccinations and deworming:
Deworming
Participate in a veterinary-directed deworming program (including 1 fecal egg count and 1 deworming per year).
Vaccinations
Participate in an equine vaccination program administered by a veterinarian (per AAEP guidelines).
Dental Exam
Obtain an annual dental exam from a veterinarian.
What Are the Program Dosing Requirements?
Start by feeding your horse one of Platinum’s 4 wellness formulas: Platinum Performance® Equine, Platinum Performance® GI, Platinum Performance® DJ, or Platinum Performance® CJ in Platinum PAKs® or Buckets. It’s important to make sure you're providing your horse the required daily dosage needed to ensure comprehensive wellness, which is based on how much your horse weighs.
