EQUINE VITAMIN E / SELENIUM DEFICIENCY

Supplement for Optimal Horse Health

Supplement with Vitamin E & Selenium

Vitamin E and selenium deficiencies are common because most horses aren’t out on fresh pasture grass where they can consume rich sources of vitamin E and selenium. After hay is cut, it loses a lot of its nutritional value making supplementation necessary. All of Platinum’s wellness formulas have a maintenance level of vitamin E and selenium (1,100 IUs of vitamin E and 0.8 mg of selenium). To provide more advanced levels, Vitamin E and Selenium Yeast can be added to any wellness formula.

“Nutrition is at the base of everything because if we don't have the proper building blocks for our bodies to operate properly — whether it's us or our horse patients — they're not going to do well.”

Sophie

Platinum Performance® client since 2010

“I started using Platinum Performance after Sophie, my 10-year-old Paint mare, came up lame. After months of x-rays and ultrasounds and no answers, my vet suggested we do a trace mineral blood test and a hay analysis. The results showed she was critically low in selenium. Within a matter of months, she was finally starting to feel good again. Sophie is a whole other horse now. I’ve showed her in reining and now we’re doing jumping and cutting. There’s nothing she can’t do. She feels great, and it shows.”

“I use Platinum Performance Equine to ensure my show horses are in optimum condition. In west Texas, the soil is sandy and causes a lack of nutrients within our forage. With Platinum Performance, my horses will receive the minerals to perform at their best. I’ve seen improvement in their body and coat condition, as well as their recovery time between shows.”
— Paul S.
