“Since switching my horses to Platinum Performance CJ, I have noticed their coats are dappled and shiny. My horses seem more comfortable. They have more stamina and less stiffness when warming up. I recommend Platinum to all my clients as I feel it gives them that extra 'kick' needed for athletes.”
FEI dressage rider Sarah Lockman has been riding horses since before she could walk. A well-rounded horsewoman, Sarah is a graduate of the United States Pony Club, earning her national level B certification, and has also competed through the Intermediate level in three-day eventing. She impressively finished third at her first CCI*** at just 15 years old. In 2004, Sarah shifted her focus to exclusively train and compete in the dressage arena. To continue her personal growth and gaining valuable knowledge from different perspectives, she regularly participates in clinics and rides with top trainers including Judy Harvey, Bert Rutten, Debbie McDonald and Guenter Sidel. Sarah is also a beloved teacher herself. She has trained a multitude of riders and horses from Training up through the Grand Prix levels and helped qualify over 15 pairs of horse and rider combinations for the 2016 CDS/USDF Championships. For many years, Sarah had a huge amateur client base and the largest sales program in the Southern California region. A devastating barn fire in 2018 caused her 50-horse training business to be split between multiple facilities throughout Orange County. Afterward Sarah was offered and accepted a prestigious lead rider position at Summit Farm in Murrieta, California.
Summit Farm is a 22-acre hilltop facility tucked into Riverside County’s La Cresta where Sarah currently trains and competes on high-performance dressage horses while also pioneering the farm’s imported sale horse program. Sarah is coached by Scott Hassler of Hassler Dressage and has a string of talented competition mounts, ranging from four- to eight-years old, including her impressive FEI mount, First Apple. Sarah and “Apple” broke out the 2019 season with an impressive 78% at the Intermediaire I just a month into their partnership. Skyrocketing into the limelight, Sarah has her sights set on the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, with the ultimate goal of representing the United States Dressage Team at the Pan American Games, World Cup Finals and the Olympic Games.
