“For our young horses, it has just kept them in top top shape. For our older horses, I truly believe their overall health seriously benefits from the product.”
It seems that everything Jacob touches turns to gold. With soft hands and an accurate eye, horses absolutely thrive under this young professional. Jacob pulls double duty in the hunter and jumper rings as a trainer and professional rider for Team Rakowsky, based out of Wellington, Florida and Lexington, Kentucky. Trained up the ranks by Streett Moore of the renowned McDonogh School, Jacob won the 2011 Emerging Athletes Program National finals. This opened the door for him to attend the invitation-only George H. Morris Horsemastership Clinic where he would meet and begin training with Andre Dignelli, equitation trainer extraordinaire, and his Heritage Farm team. Under Dignelli, Jacob won both the Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search –East and the ASPCA Maclay National Finals titles. He was also notably recognized for his outstanding sportsmanship and horsemanship as the recipient of the Iris McNeil Trophy at the National Horse Show. Jacob has a magnetic personality and is well-known throughout the industry for his upbeat and infectiously positive attitude, as well as his genuine empathy for both horses and their riders.
An honors graduate from Rollins College, he segued into the jumper ring under the guidance of Olympian Lauren Hough and captured a gold medal as a member of the North American Young Riders Championship team. Since turning professional, Jacob does what he loves: riding, training and showing hunters and jumpers. He has won several hunter derbies, including the 2017 inaugural Deeridge Hunter Derby on J’adore. Equally successful in the jumper ring, Jacob literally “enjoys the ride” with every ride and competes in young horse classes up through 3* FEI Grand Prix and everything in between. Jacob’s personal riding goals include campaigning in the International Hunter Derbies and building a string of hunters to take to Devon and the Indoor horse shows as well as continuing to succeed in the national, 2* and 3* Grand Prix. The success and enjoyment of every client is equally as important to him. He looks forward to continuing to train all divisions, particularly nurturing kids in the equitation ranks and watching them, full circle, enjoy success at the equitation Finals as he did.
Platinum Performance® GI provides a gastrointestinal-focused approach to total horse health. Equine gut health is not only important for proper digestion but also immune health because an estimated 70-80 percent of the immune system lives in a horse’s gastrointestinal system. This veterinary-developed formula provides omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins, trace minerals, along with Bio-Sponge®, prebiotics, probiotics and glutamine for GI support.
Recommended daily dosage for a 1,000 lb horse is 2 scoops, which is 2 servings.
Platinum Skin & Allergy is a potent formula that may be helpful in horses with seasonal allergies. Allergies can appear both in the skin as well as the respiratory airways in horses generally from exposure to allergens like mold, spores and insect bites. Platinum Skin & Allergy formula works by helping to maintain a healthy immune system and providing ingredients like quercetin, a naturally-occurring antioxidant, to maintain healthy histamine levels.
Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, Healthy Weight supports skin, coat, gastric and muscle health. For horses that need to gain weight, Healthy Weight provides calories in addition to forage. It is made from flax oil, a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids, which makes it a healthy alternative to corn oil. The 1-gallon Healthy Weight now comes in an easy tip-to-measure container made from a material that protects the formula from degradation due to UV light. Administration of the 5-gallon Healthy Weight oil is easier with the Healthy Weight Pump, sold separately.
