Emily Beisel
Emily Beisel didn’t grow up in a rodeo family, however her passion for horses couldn’t be denied. After her babysitter introduced her to barrel racing, she slowly moved up the ranks competing in 4-H, junior high, high school, college and then onto professional rodeo where she has now amassed over $1.5 million in earnings. This spunky red-head started off like any other barrel racer, treating the sport like a hobby and working full-time as a dental hygienist to pay her entry fees. After 6 trips to rodeo’s biggest stage, the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, Beisel now focuses solely on running barrels and considers her horses’ care her full-time job. She explains, “This has always been my dream from the time I was a little girl. I’m blessed with a great family that supports me even when they aren’t passionate about it. Being that committed to this lifestyles helps me create a bond with my horses and truly understand their needs.” She is known for her ability to jockey multipe horses to victory including Ivory On Fire (Liza), Teasin Dat Guy (Chewy) and Namgis D 33 (Chongo) to name just a few.
