Name: Trixie and Theresa Musi City/State: Kennesaw, Georgia Interests: Frisbee, Jumping, Catching Platinum Fueled Since: 2001 Platinum Performance Products: Canine Granular, Canine Ortho-Chon, Platinum Bars, Hemo-Flo, Myo-Aid, and Ortho-Chon. Background: Trixie, a champion Frisbee dog, leaped seven feet into the air to catch a disc and landed the wrong way — on her hind leg, dislocating her left hip. That too-high jump knocked her out of the Georgia State Championships she was training for, but thanks to her Platinum Performance fueled diet, says Trixie’s trainer, she was back on her feet in 72 hours and raring to go. Despite the dislocation, the bone went right back into place and stayed there, a resiliency Jones attributes to Platinum’s Ortho Chon supplements and a regular diet of Platinum Performance Canine Wellness Formula. After just a month on the Platinum Performance Canine Wellness Formula, she was jumping higher, had better endurance, and was more energetic. Jones says Trixie’s ligaments and soft tissue were in such good shape from being on Platinum that they resisted what would have otherwise been considerable stress on that joint. At one point Jones ran out of Platinum. Three months passed. When Trixie, who was then forr, went back to practice, Jones noticed a difference immediately. “She developed muscle spasms and her endurance fell,” says Jones. “I definitely saw a change.” Jones put Trixie back on Platinum granular formula and added other supplements from the line. She also fed Trixie Platinum bars in bits and pieces during breaks at competitions. Quote: “It’s pretty hard to interest a competing dog in food but she’ll eat the bars. I can’t imagine life without Platinum.” Follow-Up: Today, Trixie, who’s 7 years old, not only regularly clears six feet in a vertical leap but is at that top of her class. She’s the only disc dog to have performed in every event at the International Disc Dog Handlers’ Association (IDDHA) Championships, as well as in three other association competitions. IDDHA is the official sanctioning body for canine disc events and competitions worldwide. In 2000, Jones and Dixie were named the IDDHA Freestyle Champions and have had several top 10 team placements in other IDDHA events in the last two years, success that led them to being featured in an Animal Planet episode on television.

Dog’s Name: Bronwin Name of Handler/companion: John Barletta/Jason Custer City/State: Santa Barbara, California Platinum Powered: Since: 2001 Platinum Performance Products Used: Platinum Performance Canine Wellness Formula Background: If there’s even a kernel of truth to the wisdom that dogs are angels with tails, four paws and big wet nose, Barletta is a witness. A retired secret service agent who worked under five presidents and retired during Reagan's last term, he assisted Bronwin, a black Labrador retriever, through training, graduation and placement as a guide dog. Bronwin was just nine weeks old when he came to live with Barletta. John’s first impulse as a canine foster parent was to make sure his dog had the best nutrition possible. He put the young pup on Platinum Platinum Performance Canine Wellness Formula, and watched in amazement as his little buddy grew into the strongest, biggest, broadest yet slender lab of the litter. He says Bronwin easily outweighs his brothers and sisters by 15 pounds, most it brawn. Even his coat is markedly more beautiful — full of sheen — than the others, says Barletta. Bronwin is now a seeing eye dog for Jason Custer, a college student. Pull Quote: “Each year, Guide Dogs of America evaluate about 60 dogs for placement in their program. Bronwin was one of only 35 dogs accepted in the program, and one of only nine who actually graduated. Jason needed a dog that would stay healthy for life as the two are now partners for life.” Follow-Up: Jason, a college student, who literally can feel the benefits of Platinum Canine on his hands — is also convinced and continues to use the supplement to help ensure a long, happy life for Bronwin.

He had worked most of his life as a therapy dog in elderly and developmentally disabled homes with them, so when he came into the Jensen home, he was lonely and depressed. The Jensen’s believe he physically manifested his grief with skin allergies, which was exacerbated by nervousness and a new home. He also began to limp and had difficulty walking for long periods of time. After a month on Platinum Platinum Performance Canine Wellness Formula, his coat turned beautiful and silky soft. It took another month for the hot spots and skin discoloration to subside. Within six months, Birdie was not only free and clear of the skin problems, but an incredibly happy and loving companion who went every where with the faamily. He often ran next to Jo, a skater while she pushed Sam in the stroller up to nine miles. Pull Quote: “Birdie’s last years of life were definitely made better by the addition of Platinum Platinum Performance Canine Wellness Formula. We are so grateful that we found this product in time to give our dog some quality of life as his end neared.” Follow-Up: Birdie passed away November 23, 2001.
