 Name: Sheza Shinette, "Norma Jean"

Background: 2002 AQHA Junior Working Cow Horse World Champion and 4-year-old Shining Spark daughter out of Chick And Chex by Smart Chic Olena, Sheeza Shinette fell victim to Equine Pleural Pneumonia, better known in laymen's terms as "shipping fever," and nearly died. Standard treatments for Equine Pleural Pneumonia were begun immediately upon Sheza Shinette's arrival at the vet clinic. She was then transferred to Alamo Pintado Equine Clinic. Platinum Performance was fed into her digestive tract via stomach tube and she continued on Platinum through recovery.

Background:The thoroughbred race horse came from England as a promising 2-year-old. When he six, a torn suspensory nearly finished his racing career. Before retiring him, Judy sent Flick went off to Alamo Pintado Medical Center where he was placed on a pre-op diet of Platinum Performance Equine Wellness, then underwent a bone marrow transplant. Post-op, Flick continued on the granular, as well as other healing nutrients in the Platinum line. Follow-UpWithin a week of returning from the clinic his coat was reportedly thicker and shinier than ever. After a year off from racing, Judy also noticed Flick was very unhappy lolling in the pasture. He wanted to race; he needed to race. After recovering completely from his injury and doing more work with a trainer, Flick went on to run 10 races that year, placing first in one race, second in another and third in three others. Following that race season, Judy sent Flick back in for another bone marrow transport and back out to pasture. After six months off, she could see that he was again miserable. His leg was scanned and see if could handle more racing. At the age of 8, after coming out of this second brief retirement, Flick ran his Lifetime Best in his first start back. He was beaten in the second race, but only by five lengths. Even more amazing, he came off the track without any sign of exhaustion.

Background: Careful, a former Grand Prix champion, had spent a lifetime mistreating his joints. He once held the title of European Champion (16 years ago) and competed for several years in the Olympics and World Cup finals. When Kandi acquired he had a variety of problems and basically wasn't sound.

Background: Zontelli has ridden more than 6,475 AERC (American Endurance Ride Conference) recorded miles on horse. His records include eight finishes on the grueling Western States Tevis Trail, which he won three times, setting a trail record for shortest finish time in 1981. Zontelli first learned about Platinum Performance when he was coaching the team from Qatar at the Endurance World Championships in Kansas in 1996. After he put the horses he trained and rode in competitions on it, he saw a direct correlation between the Platinum-boosted diet and his horses' staying power. Not only was their endurance better but so was their attitudes during the long miles of the endurance event.

One of his horses, Rueben, which he rode to a second place in the arduous event, actually gained five pounds. The other two horses lost between eight and 10 pounds. |
